Qualifications / Requirements

  • 3 year Degree / Diploma / Higher Diploma in Sales / Marketing / Retail Management
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a sales / business development role preferably in Information Services / Warehousing / Logistics or similar environment
  • Account management experience in document management and archival related or similar industry sales will be preferable
  • Must have business to business (B2B) experience
  • Must have excellent track record in delivering high level sales presentations
  • Must have excellent track record in meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a flair and drive for sales
  • Must hardworking and solutions driven
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have business acumen and be able to communicate with senior to top management levels
  • Prepared to travel between sites / clients

Key Performance Areas:

 

  • Provide purpose fit solutions through an in-depth understanding of specific client needs relating to the services the company provides.
  • Prepare and present business proposals and quotations to existing and potential clients as required
  • Engage with clients on a regular basis to maintain sound relationships
  • Act as primary contact between clients and the company for purposes of:

-          Negotiating prices within the parameters of the authority framework

Key Performance Areas:

  • Oversight of events:

-          Managing the events calendar

-          Create invites that attract the correct audience

-          Manage invite responses

-          Co-ordinate all event logistics

-          Ensure social media coverage during before and after the event

-          Communicate with sponsors and speakers

  • Management of database / members:

-          Update members details regularly to ensure communication is to the relevant person / within membership base

  • Communication / reputation management:

-          All online and offline brand messaging which includes: blog, newsletter

-          Management and posting on social media feeds

-          Oversee and co-ordinate the design and content for the quarterly newsletter

-          Regular emailing / invites etc to membership

  • Administration:

-          Minutes of meetings

-          Monthly reporting to committee on the progress against KPA’s

-          Bi-annual reporting on achieving their KPA’s

  • Stakeholder engagement:

-          Co-ordinate with sponsors and memberships

-          Attend meetings on behalf of the club where necessary

-          Assist potential exporters with export readiness assessments

-          Complete applications for export related Government incentives

  • Over and above the skills to deliver on these KPA’s, we require a willing and positive attitude to enhance the brand and member experience. This includes:

-          Positive member interaction and ensure client satisfaction is a priority

-          Contribute positively to the culture and morale within the team

-          Keep abreast with trends in the fields and services offered
