Job Position: Administrator (5 month contract)

  • Experience in MS Excel and Pastel essential

Job Position: Retail Junior Accountant

Location: Port Elizabeth
Salary: R18 000 per month CTC commensurate with experience

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Relevant Degree / Diploma or partial completion of qualification
  • Articles highly advantageous
  • Accounting / Bookkeeping experience, in a retail environment
  • Sage experience, highly advantageous
  • Pastel and Excel, highly advantageous
  • Proven experience in taking books up to trial balance level
  • Must have a stable work record (no job hoppers) and supported by good references
  • Good work ethics and strong sense of integrity essential

 Key Performance Areas:

-         Reconciliations

-         Ensure cash deposits, credit cards reflect in the bank account correctly

-         Record sales entries in Pastel Accounting system

-         Complete weekly, monthly sales report

-         Ensure debtors are credit worthy and their payment have cleared the bank before purchase

-         Check all invoices, credit notes are recorded correctly including proof of receipt / signed, VAT

-         Collect and reconcile creditors statements to Pastel, then load payments taking discounts and claim / returns off

-         Process the cash book payments and receipts accurately in Pastel

-         Reconcile cash book to the bank statement at least weekly and again at month end

-         Control cheque books, lay-bye / stamp books, internal discount cards and loan vouchers

-         Ensure enough cash in bank for debit orders, transfer excess cash to investment account

  • Payroll

-         Reconcile / balance loan accounts to related companies books 





Job Position: Bookkeeper (Half Day)

Location: Port Elizabeth


Salary: R4250 per month

Hours: 8.30 am to 1 pm (4 mornings per week)



Qualifications / Requirements

  • Qualified Bookkeeper with minimum of 5 years experience
  • Quickbooks experience highly advantageous
  • Must be able to work independently and unsupervised
  • Strong admin and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and reconciliation skills
  • MS Word and Excel proficient
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Stable work record (no job hoppers) and clean employment record

Job Position: Fixed Asset and Inventory Accountant (Equity)

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Formal relevant qualification (Accountants)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial position

  • Strong work ethics and professional disposition
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Key Performance Areas:

  • Responsible for the fixed asset register, inventory control and financial accounting activities for selected Plants
  • Assets:

-          Record fixed assets acquisitions

-          Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets

-          Investigate potential obsolescence

-          Calculate asset retirement obligations

-          Calculate depreciation

  • Inventory:

-          Stock control analysis and valuation

-          Verify incoming materials against month end cut off

-          Verification and classification of warehouses

Job Position: Cost Accountant (Equity)

Salary: R24 500 commensurate with experience + fuel allowance, medical aid and provident fund


Qualifications / Requirements

  • B.Com or Diploma in Cost Accounting
  • 3 years cost accounting experience – (in automotive/related manufacturing environment – advantageous)
  • SAP experience essential
  • Working knowledge of SAP, IFRS and budget management

Key Performance Areas:

  • Analyse, investigate and report on the costs and variances of production and stock within the business to optimise profitability of the organisation
  • SAP related month-end tasks, processing of Journals and weekly / monthly reporting and costing on SAP
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and expense accounts
  • Processing Labour Broker invoices and reconciling to statements
  • Analyse, process and report on transport costs and reconcile to supplier statements
  • Prepare weekly and monthly production, productivity, manning and loss figures for management meetings
  • Assist with preparation of profitability and cost studies
  • Assist the Financial Controller in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Participation in annual audits and financial year end process
